From 20,000 feet

From 20,000 feet
The world looks somehow different
The things that separate us fade
Into apparent harmony

From 20,000 feet
The fences are invisible
You cannot see the railroad tracks
Or tell which is the wrong side

From 20,000 feet
You cannot tell black from white
Rich from poor
Saint from sinner

At 20,000 feet
You cannot see the chaos
Or hear the cries for help
Or smell the fear in the air

The world is peaceful here
Calm and beautiful
Not such a bad place at all
From 20,000 feet.
